The result is a pale, luminous surface that changes character as the day moves. In direct light it lifts — warm at the surface, almost translucent where the aggregate catches the angle. In shadow it recedes to something quieter. It is a material that behaves like the light it is named for. Present and generous in the morning. Restrained and considered by afternoon.
